The SGWS Community is built upon a collaborative network of researchers and students belonging to the University of Cagliari (UniCa), Cagliari's Section of INFN, the INAF Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari (INAF-OAC), and the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI).

The SGWS activities are promoted and coordinated by the cultural association IDeAS, through the IDeAS4Students framework: a bottom-up program to empower students through direct collaboration with early-career international researchers.
