Exploring the ripples of spacetime

Sardinian Gravitational Wave (GW) Science Community

An interdisciplinary ecosystem for innovative research

The SGWS Community brings together researchers and students from the University (UniCa), the INFN Section and the INAF Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari, to bridge the gap between fundamental theory, data analysis, and astrophysical observations.

Theory & Phenomenology

From black hole thermodynamics to tests of General Relativity. Exploring the fundamental laws of the universe.

The Future

Towards the Einstein Telescope

Sardinia is a candidate site for the Einstein Telescope (ET), the third-generation GW observatory. The SGWS community is actively involved in the science case, site characterization, outreach and public engagement.
